I have a chickie who is still in 'bator, completely out and away from shell, but still has what I think is the Yolk Sac attached. It is about the size of a large pea. Seems fine otherwise... What should I do?

It will probably absorb it on its own. The yolk sac is a weak point however so you may want to keep the baby away from other chicks who might peck at it. Is it yellow and on the abdomen? Sometimes they will hatch with the "placenta" still attached from their rear end - it is paler, almost a white color. That will usually dry up and fall off on its own too.

Leave the chick in the bator so the sac will absorb.

Yes, yolk colored and on the abdomen. S/he is on top of egg cartons - I hope it doesn't get caught and pulled off. S/he just hatched this am so I will leaver her in the 'bator for a while...
Thanks.

They can stay in the bator for upto 3 days while the rest of your hatch hatches. They live off their yolk sacs for that length of time.
