Hey everyone, we are with a bit of a situation here... It's day 20 and we have already some araucanas chicks hatching. It's our first time with this type of chicken, and our second time hatching, so quite noobs...
One of the chicks hatched something like five hours ago, and it seems to have its yolk sack still hanging from the outside. I've been reading previous posts about this, and looking at pictures but none of the other cases seem to be as large as this sack. Any inputs on what can be and how can we help? Thanks!

I gotta be careful with the amount of light because one of the others is extremely active and would peck to this sack right away, hope it helps:

You can try placing the chick into a separate container till that absorbs. It can take up to or over 24 hours. Don't feed it anything by mouth.
Ok great, initially we thought about doing that, but then I read in so many places that you're not supposed to open the bator while the others are still hatching... In the case that it's ok to open for a second and remove the chick, should I place it with a damp towel in the new container or humidity is no longer required?

I open my incubator and remove my babies all the time. Place it in the warm Brooder in a container. On a soft bed of paper towels. No wet paper.
