Hello,

We just hypnotized our 11 week old Bourbon Red by tucking her head under her wing and swinging her gently around and around. That funny bird stayed asleep in a heap for at least 8 minutes and only woke when our lamb managed to step on her.

Just a funny turkey moment to share!

A bird can be hypnotized, or put into a trance, with its head down near the ground, by drawing a line along the ground with a stick or a finger, starting at the beak and extending straight outward in front of the chicken. If the chicken is hypnotized in this manner, it will continue to stare at the line, remaining immobile for as long as 30 minutes.

That doesn't harm the bird
But it causes the bird to not be able to breathe properly 😕and for to long can cause stress to the bird

Just because you can do something does not mean you should do it or that you should encourage others to do it.
