you cant eat the first eggs?

There is no withdrawal time from Amprolium at all. It's not an antibiotic. Now, some chick feeds contain things like Bacitracin, which I refuse to feed them anyway. I dont know about that, but I doubt that would hurt you either, considering the amt that's probably used.
Not a thing wrong with eating the first eggs! Like Deb said, that's the best one, LOL.
And I like your screen name-one of my RIR's is named Rosemary and I call her RosyPosy sometimes.

You can hard boil one. That works if it doesn't crack. Or you can make to hole on each end of the egg and blow out the yoke, then just let the inside of it dry out.

We ate the first eggs of all four of them.
The egg would just go off anyway if we kept 'em.

We eat them. So far no blood spots in the eggs. We currently have 3 layers and soon it will be 5 layers. My brahma is about to lay any day along with the Wyandotte. They are both squatting and the brahma has been in the nest box the last 2 days.

We are dorky and chose not to eat them. We saved egg 1 and 2 and are deciding on how to paint them. We are going to blow out the inside and turn them into christmas ornaments. That was we can enjoy them and tell stories for years!

We just got our 3rd egg yesterday in 4 days.

We have 15 RIR's. Ate the first two and the third is still in the nest box so the girls know where to lay. I found the first one on the coop floor in a nest dug into the shavings. I put the egg into the newly opened nest boxes and a day later the next egg was in that nest box.

I ate the first two. Small but good.

After waiting for so long there wasn't any way that I was going to wait.
