Oh man.. You know when your a backyard chicken owner when stay up all night trying to avoid chickens fighting each other for the best place to roost constantly moving them until they've all settled... And maybe stay a couple for minutes juuust to make sure everyone's happy with their spot

Or your chicken shoes to the drs and they ask you to take them off.

...when there’s a bad storm so you go and stand out in the pouring rain to make sure your babies are not disturbed by the storm. Or when they wake you up at 3 am clucking that something scared them you stay with them for the next half hour getting them all to go back to sleep.

Or when it’s over 100 degrees outside you bring them in to sit in front of the air conditioner

When your children are pushing a chicken in the wheelbarrow while singing to it...

...Or rocking it to sleep! Granddaughter and one of the silkies..It was tired!

OMG, I haven't gone into the store, but my daughter (13) came running up to me Saturday, "I forgot these in my coat pocket, they're from yesterday!" She had three... LOL

Hmmm?...I guess when I keep saying I want out of Chickens and they are all still here because I actually do like them..?
Ducks are my favourite Birds, although I'm attached to my Chicken flock too..
