Xavier smiled widely as he dropped his side of the branch and Solander cackled out "Hey! Thanks for the warning!" As he quickly released his side.

Xavier nodded to Saratoga as he said, "Thanks, it's good to be appreciated. Now I'm gonna go get the squirrels! They're my kind of peeps! See you in a bit. Solander? You coming to bring Lena?"

Saratoga smiled and crawled down the branch to where the branch connected to the tree. She nestled down and fluffed, she felt awful broody but sadly hadn't any eggs to set. But the feeling quickly passed and she lay there and waited for them

Xavier and Solander made good time. They saw Lena on the ground. Xavier called, " What is it now? What happened to Lena, we were only gone for ten minutes." He landed and walked over to her. He didn't see anything wrong with her. That's when he saw her slightly smile. The trickster, he thought. "Hey, guys this looks bad. She's dead! Oh, well. I'll just eat her." He said as he used his beak to tickle her tummy.

As she climbed onto his back he said. "Thank you for choosing Xavier airline. As you can see, we are now boarding. Please stow all carry on luggage off the crow, because there are no overhead compartments!" He chuckled loudly at his own joke.

Lena sighed as she walked over to Solander. She climbed up and said, "I like my crow a little less talk and a lot more action. Come on Solander let's go."

Solander cackled happily at her words, as he took flight.

Xavier glared at them as the flew off. "What got their panties in a twist? Are you ready Charlotte? " He asked to be sure.
