You might be a “Southie” if...

If you stay in saltwater, your pretty safe from alligators. They mostly stay in fresh and brackish water. I live on the gulf (west) side of south Florida and you never hear of sharks here. I see lots of dolphins, manatee, and sea turtles but no sharks! Ooops...forgot to mention the panthers, but maybe that’s just here in Florida since there is a panther reserve here. I was a bit freaked out over these signs at first, but have never seen one in the three years that I’ve lived here.

We have bear, wolves, coyote, bobcat, an occasional cougar sighting. I don't worry about them, they are more afraid of you than you are of them as a general rule. Now Southies have tiny poisonous critters who can hide in shoe and under sheets, a hidden threat, much scarier than a little ole bear!

I looked at your maps, & I think there would be quite a few "Southies" would take exception to the lines. ...Way to High, but I have no problem as my father was a Bostonian, turned into s "Southie" by my mothers parents, both Texan from birth & one from Gonzales.
Gonzales, La??? That’s where I’m transplanted at!

Or chili made with beer...northerners are weird :lau
Speaking of beer...NOONE down here knows how to properly cook a brat. They just throw them straight on the grill. There should be specific instructions on the package to boil in beer before grilling!!!!

“We” do crawfish meat pies too!! Can the pasties do that? LoL!
