Well it gets a bit confusing when they all keep calling me a northerner! I'm having a regional identity crisis!

I'm with Ralph on okra and catfish. I used to fish deliberately for catfish

Catfish was one of the few Southern specialties that I really liked when I was down there. That, moonshine, and peach pie. I guess I'm lucky never had a muddy piece. As far as okra in any form no matter how it is cooked goes -

I was wondering when the winter trolling season was going to start, now that it's too cold for regular fishing but the ice fishing hasn't started I think Northies need some comic distraction.

It won’t be long until ice fishing starts. The ponds* are frozen over.

*ponds for a point of reference are what southies call lakes.
