You might be a “Southie” if...

Living on the shores of both Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, and 50 miles from Superior, and having seen Okeechobee, I can indeed assure you that there is no comparison between that polluted, stagnant, shallow low spot and the clean cool beauty of the Great Lakes. I can not imagine eating anything caught in that farming sewer.

Reptiles, insects, heat rash, fire ants, grass stickers, drought, hurricanes, Okra, ....
(I do love the Palm Trees though)

Palm trees are over rated.

As is lake Oakachokeabee.

When I was infiltrating Florida to try and see what was wrong with them, I owned a few palm trees. They are dirty trees, loaded with palm rats and bugs big enough to eat an armadillo.

I did find out with what was wrong with Florida people. They have latent Leprosy from all the armadillo with bug eaten butts. In addition the summer heat has cooked their brains.

Nothing says “this is a special day” like 120 degrees and 200% humidity.

However, the ocean fishing is pretty lame when compared to Alaska ocean fishing.

Also a man and his dog can not even play fetch in the mud puddles as the dog is likely to be a gator bait.

I would take that southie haven Missouri with all its woes and poison snakes over Florida.

BTW I know Missouri from my rumschpinges days. I spent 7 long months there.

I think I covered all the high points of Florida. *
