you have used popsicle sticks to splint a chickens neck that you rescued from a friend after it got steped on by her horse.
( and yes it survived and its neck healed )

you've set up chairs in your yard so you can watch your chickens free range and you can spend hours sitting there

You have pictures of your chickens on your cell phone and you take any oppertunity to show people your "babies"

You have spent the evening watching TV petting a chicken on your lap (like a dog or cat)....just cause you love it that much.

The chicken actually went to sleep on my lap.

If you invite your best friends over for "tea and chickens," and that actually means drinking tea on the porch swing and watching the chickens?

If you stopped using your favorite rocking chair because it is now the chicken's favorite chair?

If you decided to wait for hours in your chicken's favorite chair, trying to get her to lay her egg in your lap?

She still hasn't yet, btw... I guess I'm crazy enough but not patient enough

Oh, we just love all our critters, don't we? I am sorry about the loss of your beloved companions. I am glad that you were able to be with them when they passed, I know that has always been a comfort for me.

I was thinking more like a ZIGGY calendar, with a funny post, and a cartoon like pic for each day, I'd buy one...then when we finish with the first year, we just start on the second...
