If you are in your neighbors yard at a b-day party for her son when you notice the wonderful weeds! OH, my chickens would love to munch on this grass & I think to myself I wonder If I ask her if I could pick some!!

You go out in the middle of a cold rain shower (twice) and try to coax the one remaining chicken to go to the barn. She insists on standing on a hay bale under a tree without any leaves. Finally, you play Hansel and Gretel with mashed potatoes and she follows you to the barn.

Ok, I slept on the bathroom floor next to my healing hen in the bathtub....I woke to her cooing next to me and had to put her back in the tubby with her shavings....just love my peeps!

When you have 26 young chicks in the house because it's too cold to go outside... and you're hatching more because it's fun. Who cares where to put them after the fact.
