..when you drive down a quiet roadway where you KNOW there are free range chickens, and you pull over and stop to watch them.

...when you save bits of apples from your lunch to toss to the free ranging chickens on those streets.

...when you roll down the window of your car and gently chide the free ranging hen with 13 chicks that she better keep them out of the road.

....when you try to identify every breed of chicken you see in other peoples' yards.

....when you tell passengers what those breed are, like they'd care to know.

...when you begin considering you just might walk up to someone's door to knock and ASK what breeds of chickens those are, and where they got them.

... your rooster behaves better on a leash and harness at the dog park then most dogs.
...you dye your silkies with kool-aid and food coloring
...you drive thru at burger king with a white silkie sleeping in your lap and the lady at the window says "Aww, what a cute poodle" and you reply with "Wanna pet her wings?" (Phew that was a long one)
