Young roosters challanging me?

I'm not a fan of any displays that focus on me. The boy should be concentrating on making nice with the ladies, and watching out for predators instead.

I have stayed in their face every time they do it now. Today they are walking away when I start toward them. Did get a nice surprise today changing water and filling the feeder. My first egg.

Staring is a challenge. The first to look away is the loser. Sometimes the staring solves it, other times it turns to chasing, sparing, or outright fighting. I see it more in young birds establishing the pecking order, but also in roosters fighting for dominance and crabby older hens. Broody hens will often get challenged a lot when they get off the nest.
Great now they think they’re dominant over my dog.
I don’t want him getting his eyes pecked!
He’s a smaller sized dog so the chickens are a bit taller than him.
My black NN pullet does the stare thing a lot with the dog and so does one of the cockerels.
The pullet, Agatha, actually sparred a bit with my dominant sex link hen, Red when Agatha was about 3 months old or so.
Each of them stood as tall as possible and flared their hackles (well Red did, Agatha just flared her head feathers lol) and they kind of went around in a circle facing each other until finally Red pecked Aggie and she ran away.
This pullet is very bold and fearless sometimes.
My friend came over with a 9 month old puppy and Agatha came right up to the puppy and stared at it and followed it.
All my other chickens avoided it.

I am convinced one of the roos need to go. I have what I think is the Alpha and one a little smaller. The smaller one is the one that flew at my head, but he seems to be more attentive to the Pullets. He finds food on the ground and sounds off till a hen comes. Then he points to it with his beak till she takes it while sounding off. The other is not as interested in me and is a better looking rooster. He eats everything he finds though and pays little attention to the hens except trying to mount them. Who meets flower and greese?

I hate when the human aggressive one is better with the hens.
Your Alpha May get better with the girls with maturity though.
I won’t keep a human aggressive bird.
I don’t want to breed that trait and I’d rather give a home to a well behaved rooster or have none at all.

I was able to catch one of the roos 2 days ago and held him by the legs under my arm for quite some time. Explained while petting him what was going to happen. Have not had an issue from him since. The other challenges me every day when I walk away. I have not been able to catch him yet. If I can't do so soon I am going to collect him after they roost and well you know, down to one rooster.

That’s exactly what I would do.
I won’t put up with an animal that makes me have to look over my shoulder in my own yard.
