Your 2025 Garden

With temps now in the 70's to mid 80's by day this week I hope not to much buds out with rumors of an arctic blast returning down here. I'm going to rethink about the best way to build a cold frame style greenhouse after losing two similar buildings last week to snow load.

All righty now, we do not want none of dat!

I'll be watching my blueberries for buds. Almost never fails they bud up and I'll have to cover for a cold snap.
I've had the same luck with peaches in TN. Solve that problem I hope down here. I hope to have blueberries this year.

Hopefully not below 32° but in Feb we never now. It could be 15° or 45°. We just have to plan for the worst. Right now our coldest night temp forecast is 45°. Our lowest average temp until spring is 39°.
Currently 14°F. Sub zero temps are not over yet.

I am trying a couple of new peach varieties that are claimed to be able to not only survive here but also produce fruit here. Don't have any idea how many years it will take before they are capable of blooming.

I kept a Contender peach alive through the winter of '23-'24 but it did not bloom last spring.
