My daddy bought me some ducks and chickens this spring. The girls are all laying eggs now. I LOVE duck eggs so much I won't eat the chicken eggs if there are duck eggs in the refrigerator. I sell my chicken and duck eggs to friends and daddy takes them to work too. Most people who try the duck eggs LOVE them and buy more. We now sell what we call half and halves. A half dozen duck eggs and a half dozen chicken eggs together so people can have both! It has been a very popular way to sell them!I am sending a picture of me with my little "girl" Daisy Duke. Hope you like her as much as I do.

I don't eat eggs period because I'm allergic. I've tried eating quail eggs and I think my allergy is worse with those than with chicken eggs. I have been told by several people that often people who are allergic to chicken eggs can eat duck eggs with no problems, but I just cant' get past the smell...they have a very 'earthy' smell to them

I love my duck eggs and eat them all the time. I also make deviled eggs from them at the holidays and there are never any left

My youngest son is allergic to chicken eggs but seems to be ok with the ducks so far. His reaction is bad eczema flares to things he is allergic to. We used to eat our guinea eggs all the time as well. My only complaint with them is that the shells were hard as a rock!

I eat them all. I am a baker, and my Rouen ducks eggs give superior results in my pastries. (Better than my chickens, turkeys or quail) I do prefer to use the duck eggs mixed in a recipe rather than a standalone dish.

I love my duck eggs. We still have 7 girls that lay every day (some have slacked off as it gets colder) I was real leery the first time I tasted them. I scrambled a couple and slowwwwwwwly brought the fork up to my lips, took a tentative bite and..... they were just eggs.

I don't know what I expected. Now everyone asks for my deviled egg recipe, (they make THE best hard boiled eggs I've ever tasted) my pound cakes have become famous and I even have a catering company that gets 4 dozen at a time to use in their crab cakes (I haven't tried it yet, but they say they make them rich and even more delicious.) With so many fresh duck eggs daily, I don't even buy chicken eggs anymore.

Not only do I love them, I sell them at a premium here - $5 per dozen! They are desperately desired by bakers.

I'd happily eat ducks and their eggs. I've eaten guinea pigs quite a bit, too, as I travel to South America every year. They are called "cuy" there, which is the Quechua word. Incans ate 'em all the time, and if you were the honored guest, you were given the "macho" i.e. the largest male. So, its all good...
