Do you think behavior is also a telling sign of gender? It doesn't participate in the chase game that the other chicks play constantly...and it's the only one that seems to be trying to look for a way out of the brooder.
 
You can't go by behavior to sex them. And I may be wrong about the sex-been fooled before, but not very often. If that is a pure BR, then I believe it's male. Just wait and see how it feathers out and we'll be better able to tell you what you have there. Some females, on rare occasions, will have "frosty", spread-out headspots, though most do not.
