"Your" Thoughts on "Brewers Barley Grain"

What are your thoughts about using Breweries Barley Grain as a SUPPLEMENTAL FEED?

I have a consistent supply that I am receiving for free.
And on the day they drained it.

Keeping it fresh is my only burden.
I have been feeding my swine with it for awhile now.​

I would use it!

Likely best to start with a small percentage of the barley to see how they do and then increase up to about 50% of feed.

I wonder how well that will that would work with fermented feed?

I would not use more than 25%, and would not ferment it.

You might want to see if you can find a nutrient analysis of it. That will let you know what you need to add to your bird's diet to correct any deficiencies. IIRC, spent grains have a lot of the carbohydrates stripped out of them.
