ahhhh crud I never........ take that many photos on food just do not do it

Angles and perspective. Close up/close by. Near & far. Photography is an art as much as cooking. Merging the two of them together is the point of the challenge.
Usually when I post on the mother thread, I choose from about 10 photos. Some look better than others. Imagine you have people ordering food at your Restaurant. The menu pics are perfect. The photographer probably took 500 photos, but chose the best one(s) for the menu.
Lighting, angles, steam, colors.. those are the photos that make you order that dish. Remember, nobody is tasting your dish. This is a photo contest. If you add way too much salt, you still have a chance to win first place.

This sounds like fun, not sure if I have the talent to enter, but will be following, Can't wait to see the Yums start posting....

Just a question:

Cakes and pastries can also be entered.

So cakes, pastries and not a complete meal are allowed? Or is a meal required and a desert can be a second entry??? What about any time of dessert or just a side dish?
