Yum! Recipe? I’ve always wanted to try making a pizza in a cast iron pan. Toppings are self explanatory

Doh! I casually mentioned on another thread what I had planned for dinner tonight and was pointed in the direction of this thread.

Why the Doh!? Cos I can't win won of those wonderful prizes .. wonder if I can relocate by February?

Anyhow, I am still going to enter .. assuming my Chicken Parmigiana is up to the challenge

Now to find something chicken to strategically place in photos ... "Hey, Cilla, wanna come help mum make dinner!"

Bread prep: I used sourdough starter, well fed, added cheese to dough, which I let rise 3X, sprinkle grated cheese on top, then baked 400º about 20 min :

Only in the spirit of keeping this thread active so more members are aware it exists,
and NOT as an entry..
Was sick as a dog last night but managed to create homemade pizzas..
I proofed the dough on the top of the oven since it was chilly in the room. Worked in onto 2 pans, one rectangle and one round.Pizza sauce, mozzarella and parm cheese & pepperoni. Topped the cut slices with fresh green on cut on a bias.
ZERO LEFT OVERS.

That looks like fantastic pizza. Maybe you and my DS are somehow distant cousins. My DS is a home PIZZA MASTER. When we get together for a pizza party at his home, it is a feast. He usually makes each pizza with different ingredients. About 5 different, and last one with whatever is left over combo. Lately he experimented with adding seasonings to his dough. Now he does it every time Last time he made 2 of the pizzas in cast iron skillet. Deep Dish Stuffed. It was layered as follows. Dough,,,,, Cheese,,,,,,, Prebake,,,,, Sauce with whatever ingredients added. (mushrooms, vegetables, Precooked meats, and anything else to be creative) Then bake. His pizza looked like the photo. Photo is from Giordano's Famous Stuffed Pizza. It is an establishment we do attend.

There is only one Pizza Place near me that carries Cal zone on their menu.

BTW.. I have to do the VOTING at or near the END of contest. Otherwise I would vote for EVERY entry. They are ALL DELICIOUS LOOKING.

All entries must have met the min required pics to qualify.
The entries so far, have been extravagant and so visually pleasing. And beyond my expectations. But without out the minimum required photos, we would have to discredit for score standing upon completion of the contest.
