I sure hope I didn’t come across as harsh. One of the reasons I keep coming back here - besides checking for the latest entries - is seeing how much fun you and others are having! Italian isn’t my thing - but your enthusiasm, humor, and warmth keeps me here and looking forward to your next contest.... and that IS my thing!

I have another entry, but took the pics with my canon. I keep meaning to get them uploaded hoping tomorrow.
Maybe we should have a bake off next? Of course from what I have seen around here, we have some mad skilled bakers.
Another idea besides meals from around the globe, maybe use a specific ingredient?
I dont mind the photos that are examples and "not an entry" - especially since this is a new concept.
I also think one problem could be the way notifications work. I tend to forget about threads if I don't see a notifiaction. I have to admit - i spend a lot of time on BYC. A lot...
So, tomorrow (after I groom my dog) I will post my 2nd entry. Not saying it will be great, but it might just be OK.

Ok, I figure that I won't get to the dog grooming until later, so might as well get these photos uploaded since I am up early! I have come to the conclusion that I like to take more photos of prep than presentation.
This is Italian lentil and sausage soup. I made some substitutions (kale instead of spinach as well as some others...). I did not make the dessert, it just so happened that my MIL sent it down on the same day that I was making this meal. Perfect!
