Orp eggs .... and the BBS Orp stock is from (Julie)BamaChicken, Miss Prissy, CoRancher, Catalpa Farms, and Jnjross. I got these eggs from jmhappycowboy (James). I SO hope I get a beauty, like Suede!

I also got my original buff Silkies from James. He hatched them from BamaChickens Silkies (she no longer has Silkies, if I recall correctly), and they really are gorgeous!

Would 8 girls be enough to keep him satisfied though? I know Brewenna is big enough to handle him. Good lord! That girl could probably handle an ostrich! 6 ax handles wide that one is!

Abby might be a bit small for him though...she's a bit of a runt and I'm sure she'd need a saddle to protect her scrawny little hide. But, I'm sure all of my ladies would welcome Dutch with open wings! As would I!!

Kathy! Orps?! Good for you! Suede came from BamaChicken and Smoky and Dusty came from someone across the country. My Skye came from Jimmy Cox and I miss her beautiful self around here. She was just lovely.

Beth, I did just crack Dusty's egg from today and it appears fertile to me. Will check her next one, too, just to be sure. I'd rather have a broody to put them under than to stagger a bator hatch.

Yes Cyn needs to incubate herself some new roos. I mean when Serrin comes to get Dutch and I take Isaac and Suede...she is gonna have no men left by DH.

Well, the ones in my flock who have gone broody previously are: Dusty, Sunny, Olivia, Nugget, Shadow, Delilah and Tux. I think that's all. Dusty was broody last year twice, about six weeks apart, silly woman. Delilah and Tux never got to raise chicks since I already had broodies sitting. Sunny was broody twice, once her first year, then once her second year. She is now over 4 years old and hasn't been broody since that second time.

Ladyhawk, I'm still considering our little talk about Isaac going to live with you. I go back and forth on that. At the very least, I'll give you a couple dozen Del eggs to incubate and you'd surely get your boy out of that batch!
