Zane Made REAL Progress (New Pics Pg 99)!RIP Lorelei...

Thank you Cyn
Mom is still hangin, she is just NOT ready to leave us yet. The hospice nurse cannot believe it. She is incredulous. I sure wish circumstances were diff, and she could pull thru but her body is now shutting down, nothing to eat or drink since Friday morn, not even a sip. Running a temp of over 104 now. I just cry, I HATE to see her holding on when she should just go easy. I keep thinking of that poem from "To Sir with Love"..only verse I know and that I dont probably even have correct..was the
"Do not go gentle into that good night".

But with Zane, have your dh try to send him mental thoughts, some of them seem to actually pick them up. I cant say any of mine but Fussy gets anything, but I swear she sometimes sends them to me. Otherwise, how in the world would I have ever understood the other day she was afraid of the car in the driveway? Just odd sometimes. You might have had a bond like that with Hawkeye as well. Sounds idiotic, but heck, who cares, right?
Sure cant hurt anythin at this point, the poor guy.

Cyn - Can you get ahold of some Bach Flower Essence Rescue Remedy? If so, start him on it ASAP. It can work wonders for ailing bodies and hearts. And poor Zane has both going on right now. You and DH can use it, too.

thndrdncr - I know the Hospice people (angels that they are) probably told you this, but you may want to try telling her it's ok to go now; that you and her other loved ones will be alright. We did that with my father, and he left for Home within the hour. All the best to you and your Mother on this journey.

I know about Rescue Remedy, but right now, not sure we can afford to buy any. The health food store in town does have it, but it's very expensive.
Jill, I talk to my birds all the time. Hawkeye and I were close, as close as a chicken and a human can be; my DH and Zane are like that, too. If love can pull him through, he'll be crowing and acting like the young prince he is in no time.

How is his foot doing today? His comb and wattles look good anyway...

I sent you a letter this morning, but I don't think this can wait. Why don't you pay a visit to Psalms 34: 17-19

I think you will find some comfort there.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Thank you, sweetie. I appreciate that. Zane's color is good and his foot is nowhere near as swollen nor is his limp as bad, but his heart seems broken. He's so sweet and huggable, that one. I'll give him one extra and tell him its from you.

Dang, Cyn, he looks great! He might be mopey, but don't fret! Personally, I still think it's a pain issue. He's giving it a rest! He needs a recliner, LOL!

He liked being in the rocking chair inside on his daddy's lap today. I made him some oatmeal with some of his pelleted feed mixed in and added scrambled eggs. He was eating very well then, even with my dog laying on the couch 2 ft away, LOL. He really is a lap rooster! Maybe he should come inside every day for a rocking session and eggs.
