Hello, I can report that the delcorn is quite the cross. The cockerels and pullets were dirty white columbian with some single lacing. They were excellent foragers and broodies. They could clear a 4 ft fence with no problems but like the cornish pick one up and you realized they were heavier...
I have a few chicks from Ms Kathy and I have a few eggs in lockdown due sunday. I am very excited to have these birds. They are definitely different than any I have had so far in quality. The rate of feathering is nowhere as fast as the hatchery birds. But they are much bigger in body size at...

JHudson, I am fully aware of the budget issue as I am going through a personal issue right now. I bet if you contact Ms Kathy or Jeremy or someone on the boards with good birds they would surely work with you. Keep chuggin along and it will wind op being all good in the end
Just a little information on the NH and BR auctions... the wonderful owner of those birds was asked by several people on BYC to place the auctions. They finally convinced her to do it... Now How much of that was just pure greed to drive the auction up that for those eggs? Reminds me of the...

Normally, the hatchery takes extra cockerels and adds them into the order bring the number up to 25. This is the...
The American Standard of Perfection... It has a ton of information and the descriptions of all the current birds which have been admitted to the standard of perfection.
Same here Jim, made it home from LR this afternoon and there it was hanging off of the mailbox... I am a little disappointed in the cartoonish pictures of the birds... I guess I will find an older copy with the good old Schilling pictures to go off of for my breeding projects.

Thank you all. big_smile
For some reason I can't find where I can read the whole book off those links but I shall keep trying.
Rare if you have put the book into google book search and opened the link there should be an option to download them on the upper left hand side...
Ok it worked... These books are saved as images in pdf format so they are not really txt. You have to use your picture editing program to save them as a .jpg and edit them down to size. I had to stop and go stupidvise a poultry pen being built so it took a little longer for me to get it up.
