Maidenwolf sounds like Coreiza to me. Sp? But picked up by wild birds and birds from swap meets or auctions. In the past I thought it only came from bringing new birds into the flock from other local people, swaps or auctions. Dans enlitened me to that fact that it can come from wild birds as...

Update on my foster mother. She sleeps on the roost with the chick under her wing. I think this is really odd but nice. I am not sure the chick would have made it without a foster mother. Second; has anyone here ever marked a bird with paint. I have 6 RIR and they all look the same. Want to...

I understand you can cook any pumpkin for eating. Just put it on a cookie sheet and bake it at 350 for about an hour or until soft. Cool cut top off and scoop out seeds for your birds. Scoop out flesh for pies or what ever. You will have to season it like you would canned pumpkin. You can...

I dry all my clothes on a line. In the summer its on a line outside and in the winter its in the basement. It pays! Statistics say .50$ a load. Or you can consider one wheel barro of coal for every load of laundry. Sunshine is free. Humidity is needed in the winter to hold heat.

Where I live I can shoot fire arms and fireworks. You might need a permit in the city. I know you can get a permit to get rid of starlings or crows. Not sure of the process but I bet they would with some convincing allow fireworks to get chase away hawks, coyotes and owls. But then most city...

Crows might be good to encourage as they would chase hawks and owls away. They would eat whole corn on a platform at the end of my yard. I also put things I wouldnt eat like chicken livers and trapped mice on it. They were daily visitors. Corn is a little high but still might pay off.
