Need help identifying squirrel with possible mange

    squirrels?

I don't really know. I gut mine and cook at a high enough temp that it kills everything. I know last year we had some squirrels in town that were carrying the plague or rabies. I don't usually eat city dwelling tree rats. They are a lot more seceptable to carrying stuff I don't wish to come...

    CATS. arrrrrrggghhhhh

I don't know how they do things in Wisconsin. In Colorado, unless you catch a domestic animal attacking a person or livestock, you can't just shoot it because it's on your property. If you do, that's when you get a fine for animal cruelty. So am I to understand that if your coon dog steps...

    CATS. arrrrrrggghhhhh

I guess that I am one of those responsible pet owners. I have spoken to my neighbors and have asked on several occasions about my cat roaming the neighborhood. None of neighbors seem to mind. Like previously stated, my cat has all of it's vaccinations and we keep it healthy and groomed ad it...

    Predators

I belong to some predator hunting sites. They cover more of the hunting aspect of predators. If you are looking for info on specific predators, I would say to do an internet search on what predators you have in your location, read about their habits of feeding, breeding and living. Once you...

    Neighborhood Pets and Predators

I also live in Larimer county and I was under the impression from calling and talking to the ASPCA in Ft Collins that there is some small fee for taking stray animals there. Maybe the person I spoke to was not knowledgeable about this? But now I know that there is no fee. Thanks for bringing...

    Neighborhood Pets and Predators

The ASPCA does the same thing here. If I take an animal to the "pound", I have to pay some fee to drop it off. I just posted this in another thread, but the herb Rue is a natural cat repellent. Cats hate the smell of this plant. This herb flowers, so you get some color added to your...

    CATS. arrrrrrggghhhhh

My cat is both an indoor and an outdoor cat. He is neutered, licensed and has all required vaccinations as well as collars. He still has all of his claws and he is very good about keeping the mice at bay. He only gets fed indoors and we do not leave food outside. Do I think all cats are bad...

I think we have a little of it all here

Is your coop enclosed? Any fencing around the coop should continue below ground for at least six inches. Skunks, possums and raccoons are mostly nocturnal, so the use of motion sensor flood lights will help deter them. If you have dogs as pets, the bobcat will most likely stay away. Bobcats...

Please Help!! What is getting my hens (Graphic Pic)

Mink are primarily nocturnal, so an attack in the middle of the day seems odd and I would rule it out. Could also be a fox. Foxes are indiscriminate killers. They don't always kill to eat, sometimes it's for sport. Weasels are the same way.
