    VENTILATION IMAGES NEEDED!

You did an awesome job. Yes we are working on roof now..and the openings will be similar like yours..all the way around with shutters that I can close if the weather is blowing hard on one side..and of course leave other sides open. Yah you did a really good job.

    Leaving vents open at night

I would add 1/4 inch hardware cloth over the screens in those openings. The squares are too big and predators can squeeze in. Mink..weasel..raccoon hands..

    Wood type?

I live in Canada and apparently the pressure treated wood here is different that the state's and can make the chickens sick. What kind of wood should I use for the coop walls and the posts in the run?

    COOP WINDOWS

Hi there! So we are starting our build and I got some good size windows that slide open for free. However they are single pane side sliders..will that be warm enough in the winter? Could I cover with a strong clear plastic in winter? Or should I buy new Windows?

    What type of plywood

I ended up getting 3/4 inch treated CDX plywood that was noted for extreme weather conditions. $37 A sheet at Lowe's in odensberg. That will be our flooring anyway to start with up on cinder blocks.

    What type of plywood

I live in Canada.. but the states is just a stones throw away from me. We have snowy cold winters and hot summers. I have heard that advantech plywood is good to use when building coop ..only available in states..and close to $40 A sheet. When I read the write up on it..it says that it's not...

    Coop Bedding/Litter

I think linol is wise for cleaning. I am even going to use the sticky linol tiles on the walls. My non chicken friend was trying to tell me that it's not necessary...just to paint it. But seriously wetting wood on the inside during a good scrub down..not smart. Plus I think it will help prevent...

Although I get snow in the winter..so that would not work.

    Run fencing question.

Yes I agree. It certainly would not be on the interior ground of the run.
