Fall and winter you shouldn't have any problems with mating. I know, my (former) KC's boys loved to protect their own flocks, but hated everyone else.

I had the all drake flock for 3 years, yes KC drakes are NASTY! They are fine once mating season is done. Hard to believe those little KC boys are the meanest. Though I'm sure there are exceptions.

I think, one of my runners (who don't really stand up but that's ok) is actually a Bali, because she is ALOT "chunkier" than my FW, and bigger.

I used some to keep them out of neighbors yard. Unfortunately, I don't think it bothered them, because neighbors yard is full of feathers ;) I can try to find the can and tell you the brand.

I had both, a female regular colored one and Charlie is actually Golden Albino, a bit rarer than Albino, but sadly the female passed away after she laid eggs (and Charlie ate the eggs...)

Yea, there's a rooster that was born without a tail, cutest thing ever :) his names is Tailess The chickens have free run of 2 yards, my yard (6 acres) and the neighbors. We share them, because 40 eggs a day is a lot of eggs! The rest of animals are mine though. :) including the ducks

My chickens lay wherever they please... They usually go broody and hatch chicks due to 9 Roos. I think there are about 40 chickens now, all mixed, silly mutts. Mostly bantam mixes. I focus mostly on my ducks. They are my favorite! Of course all think chickens and rooster have names though ;)
