That's a remarkable plumage pattern. Many years ago I was interested in Brabanters which is the reason I subscribed to this thread. Then I just couldn't think of hens with Abe Lincoln beards and switched my admiration to Alpenzeller Sptizhabens..(spelling?) -- that chamois could be a game...
:love Oh how I love your dog! Reminds me of mine. ;) During this isolation period I read something somewhere that a person wrote---> "If you have a blue Heeler (ACD) you're never alone". Ain't that the truth? Good luck with your search.
that's a pretty amazing story. congrats on getting the birds.Your teacher's husband saved their lives -- and now they will have good homes.
It would be interesting to know the 'back story' of how they got there in the first place.
Gosh he's pretty... I didn't realize that they got that big until I see the picture of him next to the Cream Legbar. Seems like someone here was just looking for good stock. Hope that someone will give him a wonderful home!

Good luck

Hi Percheron chick,
May I borrow the observations that you made about how important a standard is for a developing breed? You made some excellent points as Walt has noted. This approach needs a wider audience. ;O)
I think your genetics statement about gold silver is correct. ;O) You will get gold females and silver males (split for gold and silver is dominant.) :O)
X2 - they are beautiful. The photo of the pullet with the red face..the wind is blowing her crest in a way that looks like two horns. Each time I see your picts, I decide I need to get some of these.
