There's a swap every 3rd Sat of the month at my local TSC. There's also one every 1st Sat at a neighboring towns TSC And one the 4th Sat every month at another neighboring towns TSC. We have alot of swaps around here.
Well I did it. I actually went to a SWAP and sold all but 1 of my chickens and didn't buy anything....I want to cry. Had to sell my Sizzle Roo because I had no room for him. I carried him with me the entire time at the swap. He behaved the whole time. No flying, crowing or running off. Just...

Anyone on here have experience with BCM's? I hatched out 5 for this hatchalong and as of yet I see no copper...anywhere. lol I thought they would have traces of it by now but maybe not?
I had a silkie egg that had gotten cracked during shipping. Sealed it up with nail polish and 3 weeks later I had a white silkie chick. :) I have another cracked egg in the bator thats on day 10 and doing well. Good luck with yours!

Ok final hatch count is 11 chicks hatched. Not the best but at least I got some. Had 1 that got stuck after zipping and completely shrink wrapped while I was at work. He was gone by the time I made it home.

Well I just had the crap scared out of me. I was candling my eggs to mark aircells for lockdown and what happens? One of them pipped while I was holding it! Its lucky I didn't drop it. I noticed another had pipped internally so I rushed it and got them in the bator for lockdown. Silly bantys...

An update on my yolk chick, He escaped his cup and is running around the brooder. Seems no worse for wear but still has a chunk of dried up yolk attached to his belly. I'm just glad he's not dragging it around behind him anymore. Now a question. This time around I had 3 chicks...
