Maybe they have something against Louisiana customers. Soon, I'm going to be looking into a breeder who has standard Phoenix.

Can I just say, I ordered Golden Duckwing Phoenix from there only because my daughter thought they looked cool and would be something different in 4H. We didn't get 15 golden. They sent us a variety and when I told them about the mix up...NO RESPONSE! Never going back. But now that we've fallen...

Thank you, thank you, thank so much! :D I was wanting to hatch eggs this spring but I didn't know about my golden in question, I was going to take him out of the making babies equation. But, since you've cleared up the fact that he's just a light..I should put him with my silver hens and not my...

Yes they are. I hadn't been able to find much in depth info on Phoenix. They are right at 9mo now, is this normal or should they be looking different? I know they have been the slowest chickens to mature.

Now I'm wanting to go take new photos of my Phoenix chickens and get opinions :) I have a Silver phoenix...then I have another that's SUPPOSED to be Silver but has gold on its back. Also have a golden...very obvious he's golden. I have been confused about the one with both silver/gold on him...

I find Phoenix chickens to be naturally tame. All of mine are super laid back. We actually have one BBR rooster who is like a "purse dog" so to say. He crows for treats at your feet and loves to be picked up. Friendliest breed I own.

Not sure if that was for me or the other person who ordered from cackle. I specifically ordered 15 golden duckwing phoenix from them. The golden, bbr and silver are sold at different prices, so no....they aren't supposed t be assortments. Either way..i'll go directly to a breeder next time! I...

So even though my one phoenix that is mostly black on the chest and a SUPER dark red(like a dark rhode island red) in the neck could be golden? I also have some cockerels that are pretty "WHITE". I just can't see them all being GOLDEN. The pullets are all super different as well.

Ok Wow so I thought I was the only one who had this problem!!! I ordered 15 golden duckwing phoenix from Cackle and also received an assortment. Red, Silver and Golden. When did you order yours? Mine were delayed due to not having hatched enough...I finally received them on April 1st. But wound...
