I have a chick! :celebrate I had gotten my hova bator back, and was going to plug it in, so it can heat up, and add water, when my mom said that she hears something peeping. I quickly looked in the LG, and saw that the mutt egg had zipped part way, but it had the worst case of shrink wrap and...
My 3 Tomaru Longcrowers eggs are still doing well, and the mutt egg too! :woot
What I use for candling is a head light (Type for wearing on your forehead), and I hold the light on each egg, without taking the egg out of the incubator to prevent dropping the egg. I love it. :D
Speaking of candling, I candled my Tomaru eggs today to check the fertility (I had set them last week Tuesday), and 3 out of 6 eggs are veining! :celebrate
My LG incubator is cooking 7 eggs so far so good, I do not trust LGs, but a family is using my Hova bator for a homeschool project. They will give me the incubator and the chicks when they are done. :)

x2! There is someone here who has the same kind of sheep, and wants to trade 4 of her lambs for my Sportsman incubator that I have been trying to sell. I do would love to have them, but I will have to get my parents permission. I am going to wait to ask again in April when get the fencing done...
Pathetic? I am setting 7 eggs. All are from my flock. 6 Tomaru Longcrowers and 1 mutt egg. :rant Its a test hatch. I am really hoping that the Longcrowers are fertile. :fl
