Six weeks

These two Cochin chicks I hatched out both are surprisingly girls

They look like pullets.When I got mine,which was a total incident,they had red combs,it was obvious roosters from hens in their tiny flock.When I did introduce them,they tried fighting.I have them all officially introduce now that it is April (That was sverelmontsh ago),so they can be aggressive.

Can i feed my cochin pullets oyster shell?They are begging to nest,one has been sitting in the nest,and another one is defiantly making egg calls,but one isn't really showing any egg signs other then fact it has the largest comb and waddles.Would it hurt them,would the cockerel over dose on calcium?

Their pen is mainly shade,and they have lots of water,weather their out free ranging or in their run.

Is it normal for cochin bantams to get hot easily?It can be 75 degrees and they get pretty hot.

I think they will be laying soon. Bright combs and wattles.I even caughy them mingling with our older rooster.And when the little cockerel force mated one of thwm they got in the squat position,of course she was forced,but usually they wont do that they just try to scoot from underneath him.

Roosts and swings,things to pick at etc,but things Iike this go for any chicken run/coop.

Our bantams just got thir own coop.

Plus him still being quite young,He is still figuring this whole roo role thing out.

I think as long as no serious injury is made I usually do not bother them.

I found out today my cochin cockerel puts up with no mess. Him and my bantam hen went at it.They fought like two roosters and things did eventually get out of hand, the bantam hen, at the end of the day,still kept her place.

My cochin chicks are always get wait muddy feet.They just preen it off and dry then go about their daily routine.I have never had to bath a chicken.

Im assuming their odler.When we got them at the end of november i am thinking they were about 2 months so their about 4 mo now.The others are im sure pullets no saddle feathers what so eever and the cockerel has been humping them never have seen cockerels hump eachother nit even young sincless...

I know he is a rooster I knew he was when we got him.We are thinking about letting one of our bantams hatch so yeah.He crows and etc,also has been mating the poor pullets.Might have to separate him.

I was just researching and some are saying around 4months,I guess it just depends on the indivual.Regardless of all that I enjoy them, they make great pets.
