Fun day today. Went to the sustainable food show at the Greenwich Audubon society. Met Traci Torres from My Pet Chicken....learned about bee keeping, chickens and organic soil..
Is anyone planning on attending this event on Sunday? Tracie from my pet chicken will be one of the speakers

The problem is the breeder. They don't sex chicks so I get what I get. These are great breeders too...so I want to buy from them but am having a hard time about the "boys". Same issue if I hatch I suppose...
It would be nice to have it more central in the state, it's pretty far for anyone rt 91 and East....but I know it's hard to find space so we would try to make it.
Question...as a new chicken owner I am wondering if anyone would house 1 roo for me in the Clinton area? Also, when you get straight runs of chicks, and zoning says no roosters, what do you do to re-home them? Thanks for the help...:jumpy
Does anyone have an incubator I could borrow from end of March till end of April? My son wants to try hatching but you know kids, so I don't want to make a huge investment yet...:jumpy
Thanks in advance! Cathy
Morning everyone!! I am on St Johns for the first time and it's like living in the wild kingdom! I am very unhappy with a particular rooster that has had me up since 1 am!!! Chickens here run wild in the streets and seme to have no predators.....not even the wild dogs.
