Well update: she was away from all the boys for a month because they banned her, so I put her in with the chickens for company, It was 3wks or more since she had seen any action, she laid 4 more eggs I throught them in the bator just to see and 3 of the 4 were still fertilized ....1 developed...

How long can a goose be away from a gander and her eggs still be fertilized?

Me too!!!! We have 2 girls and no boys. Right now in my bator with the goose eggs we have peacocks hatching...

I not sure if they are fertilized..our males have not been very interested in her with the babies out there...Or I would sell them to you..But I imagine those a def. duds. Sorry :(

So far we have 5 Greys and 4 Buffs ....2 more in the bator, and 1 Goose is still laying I will rob her eggs if she does not go broody soon.. I have throw 5 away...3 developed 2 empty..these are ones I took from the mothers also.. Pics when it dries off and fluffs!!

Go home and the poor goosey had not even started zipping yet....worried I went ahead and started chipping the shell away, and sure enough the baby was vaccumed in...So I Started chipping away the the shell and within minutes it was out!!!! IT IS ANOTHER BUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 More to go...

Thanks all, took it outside and washed it this morning, I had put sponges in the water to increase the humidity, I'm thinking maybe they were stagnant? Anyway everything is airing out in the sun right now, I will put it back together later. The house smells better already!

YAAAA Luna!!! Instead of putting them in warm water I just washed them with a warm wash cloth. It was not them stinking it is the bator itself...I have never had this happen before ever...It is rank too! I have 4 geese eggs in there 1 should hatch any day I would assume..the rest still...

Okay just candled everything again....everything is alive in there...It is the bator.. :barnie Can I put a cup of baking soda in there or would that makeit toxic??? :(
