That means it has internally pipped and should pip from next 12-24 hours after it first started chirping- At least i think thats how that works. It should pip soon otherwise.
I can't help but worry about this chick. It still wont hold its head up, is chirping excessively and sometimes it will flap its wings uncontrollably making a stress call while it does it. It does have strength in its legs as ive tried holding him up and he'll press up against the ground.
I haven't messed with it don't worry, just noticed it wasn't really doing much activity, the first chick was waddling not long after it dried. I see your point though, not all are the same.
Alright, I put olive oil on it and it started chirping, Im hoping it'll be fine and I'm guessing it will hatch early tomorrow or maybe in the middle of the night, time will tell.
This chick hasn't made a sound since i found it but it is breathing, i can see it now and it looks like it still has veins to absorb, also worried about shrink wrap, but i can't exactly tell from incubator view if it truly is- And if it is, i cant help it because of the veins, what do i do? :hmm
I'm so relieved right now y'all, this chick of mine has been alone for 3 days and I've finally got another pip! Day 20 :celebrate .
Also that egg on the left behind that one that's pipped is actually not an egg, its decor i used to keep the eggs in place, so they wouldn't roll.
Is this an internal pip or what? day 19. I didn't hear chirping but im not sure whats this in the air sac- The chick is moving. Been like this since last night.
Oh really? i had heard you keep it at 99.5 °F then raise it to 100.5°.
its at 37.9°C right now and with that being what its set, it should stay lower then that, 37.9 being the max.
1 egg is moving around, not sure if its a day 18 or 19 but seeing it shake is I believe a good sign? The rest are day 17/18, 15/16, and 14/15. I took the turner out, raised humidity and temperature, and so will the one 14/15 egg be alright?
Came home to surprise in the bator:
Took them out only bc the others i dont think will hatch till maybe Saturday, this was the most recent egg i rescued, i may have had my days wrong, if not this is a day 18 hatch. Thing is a had the turner in still so I'm rather surprised with this one, I'm...
Mine is the bedroom as well haha- And its the big chicks that are loud? Well then I'm glad i have bantams this time- Only problem is I've never sucessfully hatched bantams before, especially in the incubator. 🥲.
That always happens with mine when in the incubator, I get told its a humidity problem so this time i'll make sure there's enough water. Only problem then will be too much humidity but I'll hope for the best.
Just candled mine, all are alive and on another egg I rescued from the same person ( Did a second check today and found another egg that was slightly behind, most of hers seems to have all internally pipped believe it or not and are only on day 18/19, then again they are bantams for the most...
