One fully hatched an moving around, two not moving or peeping anymore, both have their beaks poked out ones breathing and the other ones not. The one that died was trying to get out for 2.5 days and the onther one thats just laying there has been trying to get out for about 1.5 days. I think...
I know in my incubator it is hard to see the place to add water, i use a syring to add it throught the holes of the wire and had to guestimate the amount of water need until I got the hang of it. I found that in my incubator small amounts work best, but i only add water when the humidty reads...
I have a question so im on day 17 and I cant get my humidity to go lower then 65 what should I do, I have both vents open, so should I just leave it or try to remove some water? there really isn't that much water in there :)
Congrats all who have peeps and pips and good luck to those who are, like me, still waiting and hoping. 7 more day more days lol feels like a long time, but i love looking at all the new babies and learning new things like how to get rid of considensation during lockdown.
Just candled for my day 14 and now think I have 18 of 24 maybe still 19, one looks weird but I left it in just in case. So the updated list is 1 white leghorn, 10 EE and 7 maybe 8 barred rock. I'm so excited
This is my first ime using an icubator but I have used my broody twice and I just put her in a extra large crate with the babies and let her raise them for about a month before she begins to lay eggs again and that signals me she is ready to leave. They have all done fine:)
I'm still herewaiting to candle my eggs the first time, though i had to leave them for the weekend with my father
Speckledhen, Sorry to here about your roo, losing a pet is so hard, its like losing a family memeber
