Looks like a sex link,,and yep, if it isn't laying, it's old. As long as it's healthy they lay for quite a while. I get an egg almost every day from each one of my two layers, one more getting close.
 
Here are a couple of pullets that like to help us in the garden beds. One is an RIR and the other RSL. The RIR and RSL in the picture are runts. They are still small compared to their hatch mates. There is also usually an Rose Comb RIW there too.
 
cmom..great to see a photo with green in it. I live in Utah..snow here. I see that you live in Florida. I did...years ago. In the 60's! I still remember that ocean. Nice memories.
How fun to have the chickens right there helping you out. Great photo. Made me smile, and brought back memories when I read Florida is where you are from. Thanks for posting. :)

i just wondering. how about color feather after second generation of RSL..? some argue what i've read is not about red(pullet) and white (cockerel) again, but it's gonna be various color.

Anyone hatch RSL in second generation..?

I have experimented with several generations of Sex Links, and yes you do get many different colors and patterns. If you look back through this thread I believe I posted some pictures of them. The gene for the white feathering became more dominant from each successive breeding.
