Any Home Bakers Here?

Good morning everyone :)

The loaves are shaped and rising. I'll bake the largest one to take to church and put the two smaller loaves in the fridge till I come home.

@Aria here is the recipe: https://www.baked-theblog.com/everyday-sourdough-bread/

I mix it around 9pm, shape and final rise around 7 am, bake at 8 am. I double the recipe to make 3 600 gram loaves. The doubled dough came out to 1837 grams, so I made 2 of the loaves 600 grams and did the last one with whatever was left over.

Popping some molasses cookies in the oven for church as well while the loaves rise: https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/giant-molasses-cookies/
Thanks for the Recipes!

Tonight's menu at the Garden of Olives (LOL) is:

- Fettuccine with homemade Alfredo Sauce
- Copycat breadsticks (from that place that's SUPER famous for breadsticks hah)

Will post a picture later on of how it looks all together. I was so sick and tired of buying "alfredo" in a jar at the store and it tasting like buns. I used the minced garlic that is dried which next time, I will substitute for garlic powder instead. The breadsticks take quite a bit of time to rise, and rolling them out by hand was a fun task. My first time using both recipes, and one of my earlier attempts at making anything bread-related still. Will make this pairing again for sure!

Bread came out great. I only took a picture of one loaf. The other got hacked into a few minutes after it was turned out f the pan.

I have a new motto: He who says you should wait for bread to cool before you cut into it has never had the blissful pleasure of biting into a slice of piping hot fresh from the oven bread--with or without butter!

@microchick - that is a great loaf! What is your recipe?
Thank you!

It's Amish Sweet White Bread. I found it years ago on the internet somewhere but it's listed here as Amish Bread. It's delicious. First time I made it it spoiled us as far as ever eating store bought bread again is concerned. If I make bread machine bread, which I do mainly if I'm sick or busy or it's too hot to run the oven, my husband moans and asks me to make the Amish bread.
