I’m sure I’m wayyyyy late for this. It’s been a busy past week. Got sick right after Easter and now pretty sure I have laryngitis on top of a sinus infection 🤦‍♀️ Not being able to talk more then a squeak is so frustrating.

Anyway, I was completely surprised when I had three pekin mix eggs hatch on Easter! They were pretty early. The fourth pekin mix egg hatched Monday and my two magpie mixes hatched on their hatch day, Tuesday.

And if I’m correct on my venting… the top magpie baby is the only boy in the bunch. Right now we are 1/1 with males and females so we really need more girls in our flock. We’ll keep three and find homes for the other three. I think my husband would have me keep all five girls, but I can’t get rid of one lone duckling.

I forgot to post my egg stats
Chicken- 38 set, 17 yokers 😑, 2 deaths in the eggs, and 19 hatched.
Ducks- 10 set, 2 yokers, 2 deaths in the eggs, and 6 hatched.

I’m waiting on 2 pheasant eggs to wrap up my Easter hatch. My 3/29 egg hatched sometime Saturday morning so I moved it to the brooder yesterday when I got home.
I will have to count the pheasants to see what my final numbers are.
