Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Most of the quitters have been from shipped eggs- no matter where they come from- I seem to have a bunch. I sterilze the bators with oxine, and never wash the eggs. Plus there are 3 different new hovabators. Seems like they all quit just before internally pipping. I cannot pin it down!
I'm about done with shipped chicken eggs, hopefully we have better luck with the waterfowl.

WHOA!!! Now we're talking! Great setup...are all those goose eggs on the bottom? Kewl!

And who are you referring to when you say boy and girl? Silver Ams or Sebbie goslings? (I'm hoping Sebbies!!!)

Yep, those are goose eggs. I have been abundantly blessed with eggs this year, however I keep loosing them during incubation. Only a couple of infertile ones.

I was referring to the sebbies.

Holy cow! How many geese do you have????

Right now I have 12, seven geese and five ganders.

I've been trying to sell two pairs for the past couple of months. I thought $125/$150 a pair was a good deal for the quality and since it was breeding season. Instant flock.....
