My furnace was replaced today, so to stay warm, I did some baking!!!! Lemon blueberry quick bread, and cornmeal yeast bread. Yummy!!!

I've made a lemon tea cake before. At the end, you pour over warm lemon juice with sugar melted in it, so it soaks all through the cake instead of a topping/icing. It is absolutely divine. Unfortunately we don't get many fresh berries here (except for strawberries) so they can be expensive.

(Note to self: get to the nursery, get that lemon tree planted. must.have.lemons.)

I got a Meyer Lemon tree last year - it has one lemon, there since the end of the summer and it's still green

. I'm starting to think it may have been a lime by mistake

I've planted and let die several lemons.....

Maybe time to cut it and see whether it is a lime? It's not unheard of for a nursery to mess things up.
