Are you using Ron's cornbread recipe? That's definitely a good one!

Nfc no i dont have all the ingredients need for her's. I am just the recipe my mom taught me. 1 cup corn meal, one cup flour, 4 tablespoons sugar, 4 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup milk, 1 egg, 1/4 cup veg oil. Cooked at 425 for 20 minutes. Normally i use my cast iron skillet and while i mixing the dry ingredients i heat the oil in the over then remove before adding the wet and poor the batter in the oil and stir then cook.

Speaking of cornbread, has anyone tried or made the "lacy" fried ones?

Like pancakes but thinner...they are awesome. DH used to do these, but they are so good, there are never any left to eat with the meal..
