Good morning, Merry Christmas! Safe travels to all who are traveling. We ended up with enough snow that we will have a white Christmas. Have a great day.

Wow, that's a pretty good amount! This year, winter has been strange in MN. Just a little snow where I live (the ground is half snow, half grass). Temps had been above avg. for the most part, though this week is below avg. If it's going to be this cold, I wish we had more snow for insulating the plants. -20 degrees predicted for next weekend...

That's exactly how I've done it for years, too! Except I only cook them for about 10-11 minutes. Much longer than that, and they seem to develop a greenish tint around the yolks. Here they seem perfect at 10-11 minutes, no runny whites and very easy to peel.

Our altitude makes a difference, things cook a bit differently up here.

Oh yeah, that's right, things cook differently at higher altitudes (though I have to admit I don't know why - I should have paid more attention in science class).
