Would you say this baby will be solid black or one with khaki feather markings on the neck? Or is this a blue? I've never hatched isbars before and don't have a clue. It's surely not a splash, though, right? More behbehs to come!

This one doesn’t look like a Silverudd’s Blue (Isbar). Here’s some BBS babies. The blue and black usually have slate beaks/legs.

x2...looks like mottled to me. I raised Silverudd's Blues that carried - to my surprise - mottled and (solid) white genes.

What is mottled? Is that splash? I thought splash were supposed to be "white" when hatched? This is a clutch of supposedly 7 isbars (and 2 bcms) from a flock bought supposedly from alchemist farms(he showed me the shipping container because i asked where he got them) here are some more pics of the babies

No, mottled is different from splash - it's primarily black with some white flecks. Splash chicks are light, almost silvery, with a hint of blue.

OH!!! I think I have ONE splash maybe then. It's slightly lighter than the blue one. Not as bright as I've seen. And she's my favorite so far. The lightest one?? It's more silvery than the gray one on the right. I wasso hoping for a splash.
