I'll give it a try. Can I add a border to it if it doesn't come out the correct size??!!

I'm not any good when it comes to putting these things together. That's why I do applique or stuff that doesn't matter if it's not straight, lol

But let me help you with the strips, if you cut the fabric I 1/2 inches by the WOF you can sew them together and cut them at 2 1/2 inchs you'll get a lot doing it that way. Got to go feed.

Ok so I am new to quilting and honestly have really never taken any classes but I love to do it. I just kind of wing it and do whatever. This sounds like something I would be interested in but I am not quite understanding exactly what I need to do. Do I need to cut blocks of my excess material? If so how many and do they have to be coordinating materials?

Thanks

Acre of Blessings will help you with that. Did you see the pattern? This one is very easy to do.

I did! Do I have to sew up the blocks like that and then send them in?

Yup! You send them in and Acres will sort them out among everybody who joins. Then she sents you a stack of ones from everybody that signs up. It's fun!! We've made all kinds of stuff. Swapped fat quarters, fabric strips, I-Spy squares, and blocks. The quilters on here are a pretty good lot and very rarely do we have anyone that doesn't hold up their end.

I'm new at this kind of quilting. I do lots of applique. I'm going to give it a shot, come play too!!
