What would I get having a white orp covering black mottled javas. Thanks for helping. Lost in genetics

you cannot predict what white crossed to anything will produce. It is an OFF switch that prevents colour that is genetically present. Every white could give different results.

Thanks for the gene info, I will need to absorb all that info later, I'm still struggling with the elementary stuff since we don't have any old enough to lay yet, thanks. I really need to learn how to pair up and manipulate the breed to get the genes pool and get the desired results!

i got three orpingtons from a breeder in florida who said they were white, but the rooster turned out to have gray stripes on his feathers and the hens have black tails and gray on their necks. i agree it is very difficult to find a solid white one.

I just bout 3 english white orpington chicks. They are beautiful. They are about 8 weeks old and were 8$ each.
