It is nice. I see that you would like a bigger area during the winter for them. In the winter, to make their area bigger, put plastic around their run, then they can still go out, but be out of the wind and rain/snow. that is what I do with my run and it works great. if it gets muddy or wet, add more sand/dirt to the ground, and pines shaving that you can change out if needed.

Very nice, thanks for sharing. I would put hardware cloth over the windows if you haven't already, you can put in on the inside as well to not ruin your look. I did that to mine, glad I did, my camera picked up a weasel coming from my coop the other night, a weasel or raccoon will go right through screen. I have screen on mine as well to keep skeeters out. It is funny, when I saw your nest boxes, i was like those are going to tip! then I saw you screwed them down. I know they would tip 'cause I used cat litter boxes, and put sweet PDZ in the bottom to keep them from tipping (cause one tipped) :) I'm in Minnesota as well. nice coop!

Great article! I've had a few of those :) I'd just add one thing under a hole in the egg. For a hole, or circular indent in the egg. One of my chickens will go and peck the eggs to see if they are soft so she can break the shell and eat them. Sometimes they are not soft enough to totally break, but she will leave a small peck indent or hole in the egg's shell if it is not hard enough. I don't have a photo right now, but if I get one, i'll take a photo of it.
