Edit: just wanted to add that one thing I don't like is that Staffordshire Bull Terriers, which often get called pit bulls, are often called "nanny dogs" and I've heard a lot of people assume that they can just leave their kids alone with a dog they did not train to ensure they are good with kids, just because they heard that breed(s) is good with kids. Please do not assume something, good or bad, about a dog, even if it is generally true for its breed.
I also do not believe every pit bull/ pit bull type dog is perfect, but I also know that they are NOT what their reputation as "killers/attackers" says about them.
