Great article! I will have to look into this idea further! I would’ve liked to see some more information on your base and maybe some cost comparison with your method vs heated waterers 🤔

I didn’t compare prices, since I was just trying to use what I already had. These heated bases are common at the feed store, and it let me use the waterer I’ve had for years. I really like the Little Giant waterer. This makes it easy to convert from one season to the next - all I have to store is the base.
