So planning ahead I started to make some research and to plan and adequate brooder.
So I come up with the idea of a lightweight brooder with an inner space of 18 " X 36" x 15".
For the frame I use:
(2) 2"x2" x38" ( floor frame back and front)
(6) 2"x1" x38" (top and leg reinforcement)
(6) 2"x1" x 18" (sides)
(4) 3"x1"X 36" (legs)
(1) 1/4 " plywood 18"X38" (floor)
(2 ' ) 1/2" x1/2" (cage wire for top and front windows)
(6) self adhering tiles (floor)
As well as some reclaimed material such as
1 red plastic panel ( walls and top)
1 piece of lattice
Some wood scraps
Tools and hardware:
Utility knife
Hammer
Sew
Wire cutter pliers
Woodworking glue
Small nails
Tacks
Stapler and staples
(1) Elastic tie
(3)Plastic straps
I spend around $35
Still need to buy or built feeder &waterer
Red bulb for the lamp.
